New Brewpub “Koenji Beer Kobo” to Open (Dec 25, Tokyo)
A new brew pub is going to open on the Christmas day in Tokyo where its owner serves his beer brewed right behind the bar.
This is going to be one of the very few bars/microbreweries across Japan, of which the owner has been an amateur fan of craft beer and brewing.
On the official blog, you can see how he has been working on his dream to open this bar, with lots of support from fellow beer geeks and friends: here
He says beer and menu are yet to be improved, but I hope many people can find the place lovely already
All the best for the bar and the owner Nohmura-san!

Sorry, I can’t read Japanese. What types of beer does Nohmura-san make? How much does the beer cost? Thanks
Hi Chris, sorry for my slow reply
If I remember right, Nohmura-san has served at least these so far, but the beer menu changes depending on availability:
American IPA
IPA
Red Ale
Weizen
Brown Ale
Strong Ale
,and Kirin Heartland.
They are not expensive at all: from 350 yen (a small glass) to around 700 yen an original glass. You can see some pictures here

)
I’ve heard that the bar has become far more popular than he had first expected, so sometimes the beer menu may have only a small number of options. But hopefully he can adjust his brewing schedule soon
