Apologies for not updating this blog for over a year by now…. and sincere gratitude to those who sent me email with your concern after the massive earthquake occurred in March 2011, as well as for those who organized/ participated/ spread word of / made donation at charity beer events for Japan.
It is still a long way for Japan to recover, but the craft beer industry here has been unprecedentedly vibrant and interesting! Currently, I am working on renewing this blog, and hoping to restart posting soon! 🙂
A popular craft beer bar in Hiroshima ” Golden Garden” is going to open the 2nd bar in Hiroshima. As the Japanese name “RAKU” expresses, it seems you can enjoy beer in relaxed atmosphere 🙂

100% charity event. Admission is free (all you can drink!), but donation is expected as 1) cash at the entrance, and 2) items for auction (beer goods, t-shirt….etc). All money donated/raised at the auction goes to red cross, because the organizers will bear all the expenses incurred for this event.
I overheard that items for the auction includes very rare bottle (there is only 1 bottle in Japan) 😉

*There will be over 15 kind of locale brewers beer on tap. And you can enjoy 5 or 6 kinds of beer at the same time.

Note:If you could donate any itmes of beer goods (T-shirt,Bottle of beer,etc), please bring these for Charity Auction at the event.
All money collected from the event such as collections from donation box and charity auction on that day,will be sent to the earthquake-stricken areas through the Japan Red Cross.
Charity event featuring beers from the affected area. There will be a charity auction, too.
There will also be imported beer from the US west coast etc.
